The Big C's In Canadian Ethics:
Care, Consent, & Charting

I am pleased to share that I have submitted the manuscript for my forthcoming book, The Big Cs in Canadian Counselling Ethics: Care, Consent, and Charting. Drawing on decades of teaching, clinical practice, and ethical consultation, this book examines how ethics is enacted in everyday counselling work.

Rather than treating ethics as rules or risk management, the book approaches care, consent, and charting as relational practices. It introduces and applies the integrated frameworks of Relational Ethics, Relational Consent, and Relational Charting, offering practical guidance for informed consent conversations, ethical documentation, and professional decision-making. While grounded in the Canadian practice context, the relational approach may be relevant across professional settings.
